El Monturero and Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Center
El Monturero is the first 100% exclusive horse tv show in Uruguay.
Its origin is deeply related to Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Center, a non profit associaciation devoted to therapeutic riding as a way to help dissabled people.
Until now, the work has been possible thanks to private donations made by enterprises, giving many riders the chance in Pegasus to find an opportunity to improve their quality of life.
However, the main prpject of Pegasus its bigger, expecting to reach more people in a systematic way and through a multidisciplinary proposal (incorporating psychologists, physiotherapist, etc) that will promote and strengthen the therapeutic riding effects and offers support to riders and their families.
The project can be basically explained desribing two main needs:
- A roofed arena (so we can offer our riders the same quality in the sessions no matter the season and the building of a special area where therapistan work with the riders vefore or after session.
- A permanent cash flow that allows the incorporation of more riders, independently of the contribution they can make, or also new volunteer enterprises.
As a way of searching finance support, the idea of creating a project that would spread and teach people about horses and their related activities and at the same time generate funds for Pegasus.
Today El Monturero its a reality. Since march 7, 2009 you can watch it in Channel 10, saturdays at 11 am, and already hasseveral enterprises trusting the idea and this responsible marketing.
We rather offer a more decent exchange than just charity, giving the option of advertising on our show.
Pegasus is one of the partners associated in M5 SRL, the society that produces El Monturero.
We are convinces that this way of tv advertising , with a specific objective of Social Responsibility and direct beneficieries for the companies and for Pegasus, will make El Monturero a succesful project for everyone involved.
